30 Miles in 3 Days

My friend Jeff Lock and I embarked on a three-day jaunt deep into the backcountry of the Sierra Nevada. I've been on many backcountry trips, but prior to this trip I had fallen a bit to the wayside due to a few significant life events. On this particular adventure, I came away with much-needed direction and an inspiring take on what would become the next chapter in my life.

Jeff and I trekked over thirty miles in three days, ascending and descending a total of eleven thousand feet - packs tote full of half-eaten Clifs with great times and great light. The highlight of our top was the ascent of 13,110-foot Mt. Julius Caesar in the John Muir Wilderness. It's all the climb, but light certainly ain't half bad.
